When do I take the Computer Assessment?

The Computer Assessment will not proctored on campus and will be available online in the Spring 2015 Session.

If you choose to take the Computer Assessment, it will be available online during times posted in your Blackboard account. You can access the assessment through Blackboard and it will link you to a Pearson account.

Please note: If you do not take the assessment during this time period, you will need to take INFT 110 in the fall semester.

Transfer students who have transferred in a computer course that has been substituted for INFT 110 have satisfied the technology competency requirement and do not need to take further steps.

Students opting to take the Computer Assessment will be charged a one-time fee of $15 to cover the cost of the Computer Assessment software (myitlab).

The actual assessment will take approximately (1 1/2) hours.  Therefore, allow a minimum of 2 hours of uninterrupted time at the computer when taking the computer assessment.
