In addition to completing ATTR 200, students must meet the following criteria and provide the following information:
The Medical History Form and the Technical Standards Form are available from the Program Director.
A weighted scale will be used to determine provisional acceptance into the Athletic Training Education program. The scale will be based on the following criteria:
1. Final Grade in ATTR 200 =
Grade A = 8
Grade B = 4
Grade C = 2
2. Final Grade in ATTR 210 =
Grade A = 8
Grade B = 4
Grade C = 2
3. Overall GPA (as follows) =
3.50-4.00 5 pts
3.00-3.49 4 pts
2.75-2.99 3 pts
2.26-2.74 2 pts
2.00-2.25 1 pt
4. Paper (1-5) =
5. Attendance: Lab Hours (0-8) =
TOTAL (34 possible points)
Accreditation standards regarding direct supervision within clinical rotations means that there is a limit to the number of students that can be accepted. As such, not all students meeting the above minimum requirements may be accepted. If this is the case, total score will be utilized in determining final acceptance. Scores represent minimum provisional acceptance standards, and are no guarantee of final acceptance.
Students meeting the requirements but not accepted may be considered the following semester. These students may continue with the lecture sequence, but will not be permitted to begin formal clinical experiences until accepted into the program.

Please note that due to the competitive nature of the program, provisional acceptance does not guarantee final full acceptance to the program. Additionally, Provisionally-accepted students must meet the Program Retention Standards in order to remain in the program.
