Status Sheet

The mission of the Sport Management Department at Liberty University is to help students develop skills to organize, administer, and facilitate sport programs at the corporate, agency, professional, and amateur levels. Opportunities are provided to develop knowledge and skills relevant to the performance of these functions.

Students develop knowledge of the sociological, psychological, ethical, financial, and legal aspects of sport. They also formulate and apply a Christian worldview pertaining to the concepts and principles of sport management.

The department awards the Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management, and also offers Sport Management and Coaching minors.
 
 

 

The Sport Management Department is pleased to announce that the following students (from left to right) Katelyn Jacobs, Leah Staats, Cody Smith, Phil DePriest, Paul Crittenden and Jason Vogt (not pictured) were awarded $1000.00 scholarship for 2009/2010.  The annual scholarship is awarded to Sport Management majors who exhibit professionalism within the major, community service, and are recognized as leaders of the future.  We congratulate them for being awarded the first scholarships through the program.
