Faculty Involvement

We are here to support you

Enhancing student curricular and co-curricular opportunities in research and scholarship requires a faculty that is equipped and resourced to both instruct and mentor students through the research and dissemination process. CRS provides support to faculty engaging with students in research through the following opportunities:

  • Providing awards to faculty interested in attending conferences and other professional development opportunities focused on instructing and mentoring in the values, knowledge, and skills that underlie quality research
  • Providing faculty release and/or awards through the Provost Research Initiative (PRI)
  • Supporting faculty-student curricular and co-curricular research collaboration for upper-level academic experiences through research-intensive courses
  • Offering workshops and events that equip the faculty to engage students in research
  • Recognizing faculty who exemplify a commitment to best practices in teaching and mentoring undergraduate research through annual Office of the Provost Awards for Excellence in Research Instruction
