Audition and Interview Dates and Times

Children Auditions (South Pacific only)

Monday, December 15, starting at 4:00 p.m., in the Tower Theater

  • Please familiarize yourselves with the song "Dites-Moi" from South Pacific.
  • There may be cold readings of the script. No monologue preparation necessary.
  • Please email Linda Cooper (lncooper@liberty.edu) to schedule an audition time slot.

All auditions

Friday, January 9, starting at 6:30 p.m., in the Tower Theater

  • Female auditions will begin at 6:30 p.m.
  • Male auditions will begin at 9:00 p.m.
  • Please prepare a 30 second contemporary, dramatic monologue.
  • Please prepare one of the following songs to perform in addition to your monologue.

All Production Interviews 

Saturday, January 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Green Room

  • All Theatre Arts: Production/Education majors who have passed the sophomore hearing are required to bring a production resume and portfolio to the interview. 
  • All majors who have not passed the sophomore hearing and all non-majors are not required to bring anything to the interview.

Callback Dates and Times

Callbacks will be held all day Saturday, January 10. Times are TBD.
Please check the callback sheets outside of the Theatre Department offices after auditions for more information.

Audition & Production Interview Information

Audition Information

  • Fall auditions are always held on the two nights before classes start.
  • All fall shows are auditioned at the same time.
  • Spring auditions are always held after Thanksgiving break, before Christmas break.
  • All spring shows are auditioned at the same time.
  • Monologues/Songs may not contain profane language or any type of sexual innuendo.
  • An accompanist is provided for musical auditions.
  • Callbacks, if necessary, are usually posted by mid-week.
  • Cast lists are usually posted by the end of the audition week.
  • If cast, you must initial beside your name on the cast sheet to indicate an acceptance of a role.
  • Students who are cast must enroll in THEA 200, 300, or 400.
  • Students wishing to participate in theatre must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher in order to be considered for participation.

Production Interview Information

  • Fall interviews are always held on the two nights before classes start.
  • All fall production jobs are interviewed at the same time.
  • Spring interviews are always held after Thanksgiving break, before Christmas break.
  • All spring production jobs are interviewed at the same time.
  • Crew jobs are usually posted by the end of the audition week.
  • If selected, you must initial beside your name on the crew sheet to indicate an acceptance of a crew position.
  • Students who are selected must enroll in THEA 200, 300, or 400.
  • Students wishing to participate in theatre must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher in order to be considered for participation.
