Stand Partners Auditions

Auditions for the 2017 Playwriting Competition winner, Stand Partners, are just around the corner. Begin your preparations now! Auditions will take place in The Box, Liberty's newest black box theater.

April 3  |  6-8 p.m. Auditions

  • Please sign up for a time (6-7 p.m. or 7-8 p.m.) at the Theatre Arts offices (GH1878).

  • Twenty slots per hour are available.

  • Please come prepared for the auditions by memorizing one of the scenes below, as well as familiarizing yourself with the other three scenes.

  • You must provide your own partner for the audition process, but he/she does not necessarily have to be auditioning.

April 4  |  5-6 p.m. Callbacks

  • Callback sheet will be posted outside of the Theatre Arts offices (GH1878) by noon of April 4.

  • No preparation necessary for callbacks.


General Audition & Production Interview Information

Audition Information

  • Fall auditions are always held on the two nights before classes start in August.
  • All fall academic shows are auditioned at the same time.
  • Spring auditions are usually held in January.
  • All spring academic shows are auditioned at the same time.
  • Monologues/Songs may not contain profane language or any type of sexual innuendo.
  • An accompanist is provided for musical auditions.
  • Callbacks, if necessary, are usually posted the night of auditions.
  • Cast lists are usually posted by the end of the audition week.
  • If cast, you must initial beside your name on the cast sheet to indicate an acceptance of a role.
  • Students who are cast must enroll in THEA 200, 300, or 400.
  • Students with a GPA less than 2.0 will be considered only by Director's discretion.

Production Interview Information

  • Fall interviews are always held on the two nights before classes start in August.
  • All fall production jobs are interviewed at the same time.
  • Spring interviews are usually held in January.
  • All spring production jobs are interviewed at the same time.
  • Crew jobs are usually posted by the end of the audition week.
  • If selected, you must initial beside your name on the crew sheet to indicate an acceptance of a crew position.
  • Students who are selected must enroll in THEA 200, 300, or 400.
  • Students with a GPA less than 2.0 will be considered only by Director's discretion.
