Fall 2014 Academic Auditions & Production Interviews

A Man For All Seasons, Charley's Aunt, You Can't Take It With You

Audition and Interview Dates and Times

All Freshman auditions/interviews will take place on Friday, August 15, starting at 6:00 p.m.

All other auditions/interviews will be held during the morning and afternoon of Saturday, August 16. 

  • All Theatre Arts MAJORS who have not passed the sophomore hearing and all NON-MAJORS will audition on Saturday, August 16 at 11 a.m. in the Tower Theater.
  • All Theatre Arts: Performance/Theatre Arts: Education MAJORS who have passed the sophomore hearing will audition on Saturday, August 16 at 2 p.m. in the Tower Theater.
  • All Theatre Arts: Production/Theatre Arts: Education MAJORS who have passed the sophomore hearing will interview on Saturday, August 16 at 11 a.m. in the Tower Theater Greenroom.
  • All Theatre Arts MAJORS who have not passed the sophomore hearing and all NON-MAJORS will interview at 2 p.m. in the Tower Theater Greenroom.
  • Any performance major may also interview for production and any production major may also audition. Theatre Arts: Education majors may choose to do either or both.

Callback Dates and Times

Callbacks will be held on Saturday evening, August 16 and Sunday, August 17.  Times are TBD.

Preparation

Interview Preparation

  • All Theatre Arts: Production/Theatre Arts: Education MAJORS who have passed the sophomore hearing are required to bring a production resume and portfolio to the interview.
  • All MAJORS who have not passed the sophomore hearing and all NON-MAJORS are not required to bring anything to the interview.

Audition Preparation

  • All Theatre Arts MAJORS who have passed the sophomore hearing are required to bring a headshot and resume to the auditions. Please prepare a total of two 30 second monologues:
    • one should be a contemporary, comedic monologue, and the other a classical, dramatic monologue.
  • Those MAJORS who have not passed sophomore hearing and all NON-MAJORS are not required to bring a resume/headshot.  Please prepare a total of two 30 second monologues:
    • one should be a contemporary, comedic monologue, and the other a classical, dramatic monologue.
