LUTC Summer Camp

Elementary and Middle School Students

LUTC day camps provide local elementary and middle school students an opportunity to spend a week or more learning the ins and outs of theatre, from acting to production. Within the rehearsal process, students learn vital lessons in team building, responsibility, and self-confidence.

  • Elementary Camp - Disney's The Lion King KIDS

    Grades: Students who have completed grades 1, 2, 3, or 4.
    Camp Location: Liberty University - Tower Theater (directions)
    Camp Dates: June 11 - June 16, 2018
    Class and Rehearsal Dates and Times: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Performance Dates: June 16, 2018 (The production will be double cast. Cast Red will perform at 10 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. and Cast Blue will perform at 2 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.)
    The Musical: The Lion King KIDS
    Camp: Students will learn the basic ins and outs of performance and putting together a production.
    Meals: Campers will bring a lunch each day. LUTC will provide snacks.
    Enrollment: 80 Performance Spots Available [participate in all activities and perform in musical]
    Tickets: May be purchased in June 2018 one of four ways:

    Visit the University Ticket Office, located in the Vines Center. Call (434) 582-SEAT (7328) Monday through Friday. On the day of the performances, call the Tower Box Office at (434) 582-2085. Purchase Tickets Online Purchase at the door on the day of the performance. The Tower Box Office will open 1 hour prior to the show.

    Costs & Deadlines

    Early Enrollment Deadline: March 23, 2018

    • Cost: $225 ($100 due at time of enrollment. Remaining Balance due before the final enrollment deadline: May 18, 2018.)
    • Sibling Rate 15% off of the total combined cost of two or more family members of the same household Total cost for 2 family members = $382 Total cost for 3 family members = $573

    Enrollment after March 23, 2018

    • Cost: $275 ($100 due at the time of enrollment. Remaining balance due before May 18, 2018.
    • Sibling Rate 15% off of the total combined cost of two or more family members of the same household. Total cost for 2 family members = $467 Total cost for 3 family members = $701

    How to Enroll

    Fill out and sign Registration and Waiver Forms (one pair for each sibling) Pay deposit (If paying by check, please mail along with forms)

    Payment Methods

    Pay by check: Make checks payable to Liberty Department of Theatre Arts 
    Pay by credit card: Go to the Register Now webpage.

    In order to pay a balance, simply use our Register Now link. You will need to complete steps 1 & 2 again and then select the “Pay Balance” option to manually enter your balance payment.

    I'm enrolled! What's next?

    Once enrolled (Down-Payment Received), you will receive an email confirmation. Be sure to mail in both Camp Registration Form and Camp Waiver Forms. Pay balance by May 18, 2018.
  • Middle School Camp: Dreamworks' Madagascar -A Musical Adventure JR

    Grades: Students who have completed grades 5, 6, 7, or 8.
    Camp Location: Liberty University - Tower Theater (directions)
    Camp Dates: June 18 - June 30, 2018
    Class and Rehearsal Dates and Times: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Performance Dates: June 30, 2018 (Performances at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.)
    The Musical: Madagascar: A Musical Adventure JR
    Camp: Students will learn the basic ins and outs of performance and putting together a production.
    Auditions: Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students will be required to stay the entire time. No preparation necessary.
    Meals: Campers will bring a lunch each day. LUTC will provide snacks.
    Enrollment: 60 Performance Spots Available (participate in all activities and perform in musical)
    Tickets: May be purchased in June 2018 one of four ways:

    Visit the University Ticket Office, located in the Vines Center. Call (434) 582-SEAT (7328) Monday through Friday. On the day of the performances, call the Tower Box Office at (434) 582-2085.   • KIDS Ignite

    Grades: Students who have completed grades 4, 5 or 6
    Camp Location: Liberty University - Tower Theater (directions)
    Camp Dates: June 18 - June 22, 2018
    Class and Rehearsal Dates and Times: Monday through Friday, 7 - 9 p.m.
    Camp: Students will learn how to communicate the gospel through drama ministry.
    Enrollment: 20 Spots Available

    Costs & Deadlines

    Cost: This camp is free and filled on a first come-first serve basis. Final Enrollment Deadline: June 11, 2018
