Biography
Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Marybeth moved with her family to Lynchburg in 1989. After graduating from Lynchburg Christian Academy in 1990, she began her college career as a math major, but she saw the light and found her calling as an English major, eventually graduating from Liberty in 1997. Six years later, she earned her M.A. in English from another great Virginia school, Longwood University. She has been teaching at Liberty since 2003. Marybeth has a 10-year old son, Nathaniel, who is in the 5th grade at R.S. Payne Elementary School; he loves to read, but prefers math and science to English. Marybeth has attended Grace Evangelical Free Church since 1998.
