The Virginia Scholars Lab

The Virginia Scholars Lab (June 23-July 6 - $875 resident / $300 commuter) is a two week policy lab tailored exclusively for the championship debater. It features personalized debate instruction, small group theory, kritik, strategy, and topic discussions as well as one-on-one skills development. Each debater receives additional research on specific affirmative and negative strategies. Nick Ryan, Assistant Director of Debate, Liberty University - Policy Lab Instructor:  Coach Ryan debated for Iowa City West High School, Iowa City, IA and was a Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifier. As a varsity debater for Mary Washington University he qualified to the NDT three times and won the University of Richmond Tournament. He also won the junior varsity division and First Speaker at the ADA National Tournament his freshman year.
