The Lincoln-Douglas Lab (June 21-27) is a one week lab for Lincoln-Douglas Debaters of all levels and features numerous practice debates, small group political philosophy discussions, and individualized skills and strategy development. Debaters learn theory and practice writing and debating affirmative and negative cases for future topics.
Heather Hall, Assistant Debate Coach, LU—Lincoln-Douglas Lab Instructor and Dorm Parent: Coach Hall was an accomplished high school Lincoln-Douglas debater including qualifying to the NFL National Tournament. She was also a varsity policy debater for Liberty University. She has coached novice debate for 10 years at LU where her teams have won multiple national championships. She has taught at several debate workshops including the Virginia Beach High School Workshop and the Centre Hall, PA Home School Seminar.
Eddie Fitzgerald, Varsity Debater, LU-Lincoln-Douglas Lab Instructor: Mr. Fitzgerald is a varsity debater for Liberty University working towards a major in philosophy. As a high school varsity Lincoln-Douglas debater for Timothy Christian in Piscataway, NJ he had winning records at both the Harvard and NJ State Tournaments. As a college debater, he has won the James Madison University, John Carroll University, University of Richmond, and ADA Nationals debate tournaments.
