Prior to his time at Liberty, Pruitt served on the communication faculty at Colorado Christian University (CCU) in the School of Business and Leadership, and as the Director of the School of Communication at Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. Pruitt has also served as a faculty advisor in several state and national student leadership organizations.


Pruitt, a Wisconsin native, is an avid Green Bay Packer fan and his experience in the classroom includes designing and teaching a wide variety of courses. His specializations include interpersonal, small group, organizational, and leadership communication. Students have described Dr. Pruitt’s classes as challenging, interesting, and informative. Pruitt is known for bringing personal narratives into the classroom along with a dry sense of humor.
