Dr. Randall Pruitt's

Dr. Randall Pruitt is currently in his sixth year as a full professor in the Department of Digital Media & Communication Arts at Liberty University and in his 21st year as a teacher in higher education. Prior to his time at Liberty, Pruitt served on the communication faculty at Colorado Christian University (CCU) in the School of Business and Leadership, and as the Director of the School of Communication at Toccoa Falls College in the state of Georgia.

The Wisconsin native is an avid Green Bay Packer fan and has served as vice-president of two state communication organizations (Georgia Communication Association & Rocky Mountain Communication Association) along with serving on the board of directors for both organizations. In addition to being awarded a prestigious Governor’s Teaching Fellowship (state of Georgia), Dr. Pruitt has served as a faculty advisor in several state and national student leadership organizations including the IHS Leadership Honorary, Omicron Delta Kappa Society, and Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Association Honor Society.

His experience in the classroom includes designing and teaching a wide variety of courses but his specializations include interpersonal, small group, organizational, and leadership communication.  Students have described Dr. Pruitt’s classes as challenging, interesting and informative. Pruitt is known for bringing personal narratives into the classroom along with a dry sense of humor.
