Meet the Team!!
The King's Players is a small select touring repertory company. Our purpose is to do ministry. On an average, we see 200 people a year come to know the Lord as their Savior. We will do at least 15 youth services this year. Last year, we began not only to conduct youth services but to participate in the discipleship of teens as well. In addition, we will minister in detention homes, prisons, Christian schools and numerous churches.

Small.
We have two teams.  The blue team has 4 actors and 4 actresses, a stage manager and 1 driver.  The gold team has three actors, two actresses and one lighting operator.

Select. Admission is by audition only.  We look for talented individuals with a heart to serve God.  While there are thousands of students on campus, only a select few will represent our Lord and Liberty University in this ministry.

Touring. Each team travels 2 weekends a month. Members will be engaged in eight ministry opportunities per month, allowing 2 weeks off for social life and work.

Repertory
 company
.  The blue team tours three programs: Which Way is a 30 minute one-act that is used for evangelistic programs.  Outings is a full length play designed to strengthen the family (1 hour 20 minutes).  Challenges  is a series of brief dramatic sketches that we use for either youth groups or in outreach ministry to detention homes.  The gold team tours He Came Seeing, a thirty-minute Biblical play.  Taken from John chapter nine, He Came Seeing presents a challeging call to discipleship.  Our goal is to perform this program in churches, retirement villages and nursing homes throughout the region.   We want to do more than present a play or a skit.  We will use music, testimonies and drama to present a meaningful worship experience.  Team members always want their friends to see the ministry, so each year we show one play on campus.  Due in part to the revival of interest in C.S. Lewis, thanks to the movie release of Narnia, we will present a full length drama, Screwtape, based of course on the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis.

The King's Players is the oldest ministry of Liberty University.
Actually, KP was organized and began touring 21 years before the first student came to LU .  Founded in 1960, The King's Players is a ministry.  Because of the fact that we are a repertory company, only those students who will commit to serving for an entire year are granted membership.

The King’s Players Drama Ministry is pleased to report that our plan to conduct year-round ministry has seen two successful years!  The expansion to three ministry teams makes increased ministry possible.  We are sending a team out nearly every weekend eight months of the year as two campus teams canvas a four-hundred mile radius of Lynchburg.  A third team is ministering throughout the summer months. This team consists of KP Alumni, teens and adults from central Virginia who feel the call of God to minister through Christian drama.  For more information send us an e-mail: kingsplayers@liberty.edu or phone us 434 444 0339.

Ministry to United States Military!

The King's Players minister for the United States Marines Corps at Parris Island, S.C. Six performances were given at Parris Island, one of the most demanding of the nation's military training camps, to over 4000 troops. Despite strong peer pressure, these men make a public profession of faith. Over 400 men and women accepted Christ as their personal savior! These soldiers then enrolled in a 10-week discipleship course.
