International F2 Admissions

We offer many degree options and affordable tuition costs for international students. Please note that if you are studying with an F2 status, you will not qualify for financial aid.

  • Step 1: Apply

    The following documents are required in order to be eligible for admission to Liberty University:

    • International Application (online or printable)
    • Secondary Education and College transcripts
      • Applicants who have completed secondary education or college-level academic coursework outside of U.S. must have their transcripts evaluated by a credential evaluation service provider that is a member of the National Association of Credential Services (NACES®)
      • If a NACES credential evaluation was completed based on a preliminary secondary transcript for the purpose of admission to the University, the student must also submit a NACES evaluation of the final secondary credential before being permitted to register for second semester courses
    • Test of English Proficiency: If English is not your primary language, submit one of the following tests:
    • Passport: Send a photocopy of the photo picture page of your passport including your birth date and the expiration date of your passport and by email to international@liberty.edu or by fax to (434) 522-0430
    • SAT or ACT college entrance exam score report 
      • Not required for admission purposes, but may be essential for obtaining a Student Visa in your country
      • The midrange score for the SAT (new) is 980-1040, and the midrange for the ACT (composite) is 19-22
      • Liberty University now offers award-winning Prepworks® ACT and SAT preparation courses with money-back guarantees
    • Admission Essay
      • Write a 200-400 word essay on this topic: "How will your personal faith and beliefs contribute to Liberty's mission to develop Christ-centered leaders?"
      • Email your essay to international@liberty.edu and include your full name, address, and date of birth

    Additional items needed for your F2 application:

    • Copy of you F-2 visa, I-20, and I-94
    • Copy of your principal's F-1 visa holder documents: I-94, F-1 visa, and I-20
  • Step 2: ASIST

    Complete Financial Check-in & Register for Courses

  • Step 3: Attend

    Make Travel Arrangements & Attend Orientation

    • Submit your picture for your Flames Pass, which serves as your student ID
    • Notify your International Admissions Representative via email of your travel arrangements in order to be picked up at the Lynchburg airport, bus, or train station.
    • Submit your final and official high school and college transcripts
    • Attend International Student Orientation
