Academic Coaching

An Academic Success Coach helps you figure out how, when, and where you best learn. We will work with you to build learning and study skills for college-level achievement while managing the time and stress of student life.

Schedule Appointment

How to schedule your appointment:

Before scheduling your appointment, please review the missed appointment policy.

  1. After clicking on the button above, if prompted, log in with your Liberty username and password.
  2. On the next page, under the first drop-down menu, select “Academic Coaching.” Then, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Check Availability.”
  3. Select an available date and time, fill out the pop-up window, and click “Submit Request."

Your coach will help you with your individual needs in the following areas:

  • Setting goals for the semester. Learn more information on how to set effective, realistic goals that you can work towards.
  • Reading skills. Although most people in college know how to read, developing and enhancing critical reading skills is vital to a successful college experience.
  • Study skills. From note taking to effective listening, study skills are vitally important for college students. Students who are struggling may find that tweaking their study habits can be invaluable to their college experience overall.
  • Test taking skills. Learn how to take tests with as little stress as possible.
  • Time and stress management. Effectively planning out your schedule so as to reduce stress and increase productivity is a life saver. You will not be disappointed when you take the time to manage your day-to-day routine and eliminate any unnecessary distractions.

Coaches work with your skills and will refer you to subject-matter tutors and other support services when needed.
