Greetings, ALD Prospective 2012 Graduating Seniors!

And CONGRATULATIONS!  Your special day is fast approaching, and we want to celebrate with you!  Our Liberty University Alpha Lambda Delta Officers and Advisors are planning a very special "night to remember", honoring you, our ALD graduate.  This is the correspondence I promised to email you mid-February.

Date of the Banquet:  Saturday Evening, March 31, 2012

Time:  6:30pm - 9:00pm

Location:  DeMoss Grand Lobby

Cost of Banquet Ticket to include Meal

  • ALD Graduates:  $5.00
  • Guests:  Price of meal as noted in menu below

RSVP by purchasing your ticket(s) and your guests’ tickets on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the table in the DeMoss hallway next to the courtyard:   1:00pm – 5:00pm

Special Notes:

  • If you plan to attend the banquet, you must purchase your banquet ticket. ALD Officers will be selling tickets at a table located in the first floor back hallway of DeMoss   1:00pm – 5:00pm on Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
  • If you are having guests attend, you must purchase their banquet tickets on Tuesday, March 20th as well.
  • March 20th will be the only opportunity for you to purchase your banquet tickets at the table.

ALD Honor Cords:

  • You must order and pay for your ALD honor cord ($8.00) on March 20, 2012 as well.

Note the following:

  1. If your Career GPA as of January, 2012, is 3.5 or greater and you are attending the banquet, your honor cord is free and you do not need to order your honor cord; you must purchase only your banquet ticket on March 20th, and you will receive your ALD honor cord free of charge at the banquet.
     
  2. If your Career GPA as of January, 2012, is 3.5 or greater and you are not attending the banquet and would like an ALD honor cord, you must order and pay for your honor cord  ($8.00) on March 20th and we will notify you by email when and where to pick it up. 
     
  3. If your Career GPA as of January, 2012, is less than 3.5 and you are attending the banquet and would like an ALD honor cord, you must order and pay for it ($8.00) when you purchase your banquet ticket on March 20th, and you will receive your honor cord at the banquet.
     
  4. If your Career GPA as of January, 2012, is less than 3.5 and you are not attending the banquet and would like an ALD honor cord, you must order and pay for  it ($8.00) on March 20th and we will notify you by email when and where to pick it up.

IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY IN THE AREA BUT WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN COMMENCEMENT/GRADUATION EXERCISES AND DESIRE TO PURCHASE AN ALD HONOR CORD:  Some have already emailed me to say they are walking May 2012 but are either student teaching this semester, they finished their program of study this past August or December, or they are Liberty Online ALD members and want to order an ALD honor cord.   You may order your ALD honor cord ($8.00) by mail (if using check) or by email (if using credit card). We must receive your order form by March 20, 2012 and will mail your honor cord to you as soon as we receive the order.  Please note we will place the honor cord order on March 21st.  Please use form below to place your order.

IF YOU ARE A MAY 2012 GRADUATE BUT YOU ARE NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE COMMENCEMENT / GRADUATION EXERCISES AND DESIRE TO PURCHASE AN ALD HONOR CORD, please order, using the Banquet Ticket and-or Honor Cord Order Form below.

  • You may pay for banquet tickets and honor cords by cash, check (made payable to Alpha Lambda Delta), or credit card ( American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa) – credit card payments must be made through Mrs. Grayson, ALD Administrative Advisor.  If you are paying by credit card, please fill out the attached (omitting your credit card#) and bring the form to the table on March 20th.  Officers at the table on March 20th will take your order form and Mrs. Grayson will contact you by email on March 21st  for your credit card#.  The Officers at the table are not required to take your credit card number so please do not write it on the form.  When purchasing banquet tickets and/or honor cords at the table, please bring your LUID Card with you. 
     
  • If your graduation date is May 2012 and you are not planning to participate in any of the graduation activities, you may still order your ALD honor cord using the form below and we will mail your honor cord to you free of postage.

A CLARIFICATION ABOUT HONOR CORDS:  The ALD honor cord is different from the University’s honor cord that students graduating with honors receive from the University. You may wear both honor cords if you have earned them.  If you are an ALD graduate, regardless of whether your Career GPA fell below 3.5 after becoming a member, you are still authorized to wear the ALD honor cord at graduation because…”Once a member,…always a member.”  Any questions concerning the University honor cords should be directed to the Registrar’s Office.

Your ALD officers are spending many hours planning an evening of honor and celebration for you to enjoy and we look forward to spending it with you and your guests.  Please mark the dates in this letter on your calendar and remember to purchase your banquet ticket and/or ALD honor cord.
