The 2012-2013 Liberty University AMA Collegiate Case Competition Team was named a Semi-Finalist team in a national competition among 61 participating universities in North America.
This Semi-Finalist Award placed the Liberty team in the top 13 papers submitted as judged by a panel of marketing professors and professional marketers. The client this year, selected by the American Marketing Association, was Donate Life America, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and facilitating the registration of human organs, eye, and tissue donations.
This year’s team continues a tradition of excellence for the Liberty University School of Business Marketing Program. They are the fourth consecutive team to place nationally among some of the strongest marketing programs in North American universities. Team members volunteered to work on the group paper during the fall semester and submitted the final paper in December. Each paper was judged by a panel of judges who did not know the identity of the school and did not collaborate with each other in the analysis of each paper.
The 10 finalist teams were invited to make an oral presentation to senior managers of the organization in New Orleans during the annual International Convention for AMA Collegiate Chapters.
We are proud of our students for their outstanding efforts and impressive results. The experience gained in the project will serve the students well in their professional careers and will earn them respect from their colleagues and employers.
