Sigma Beta Delta was established in 1994 to honor students who have demonstrated superior academic performance in business programs in regionally accredited universities and colleges. The Liberty University chapter was established in 1997. In 2009, juniors and graduate students were invited to join Sigma Beta Delta. Each year, the Liberty University chapter provides charitable contributions to numerous organizations, such the Jubilee Family Development Center, Interfaith Outreach Association, Christian Service Mission, WorldHelp, and No Barriers USA. In addition, the chapter sponsors scholarly events and activities that are available to residential and online students.
In order to join Sigma Beta Delta, you must meet the following criteria:
Juniors are required to maintain their level of academic scholarship and characteristics that first earned them this prestigious honor.
Juniors, seniors, and graduate students who are eligible to join Sigma Beta Delta may do so for $150. Inductees will receive an insignia lapel pin, certificate, and honor cord.

New members will receive their lapel pin, certificate, and honor cord at the induction ceremony, held on graduation. Those who join will also receive an opportunity to earn a scholarship for future Liberty University School of Business courses.
