Served in the United States Army Signal Corps as an officer (1973-1976); employed by GTE, then Verizon, (1977-2003) as a service manager, management development instruction, and sales/marketing (16.5 years). Retired after 27 years with the combined companies. Head Administrator of an academy (2003-2006). Brings to the classroom the experience gained in real world applications of marketing and management principles.

At Michigan State he team taught with Dr. Jack Allen in the Eli Broad Business School’s MBA program, teaching Marketing / Supply Chain Management courses for six years. He was awarded the USDA National Needs Fellowship and Cargill/Excel Meat’s Fellowship. His research interests are in Food Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility. He also presented a selected paper at the International Agribusiness Management Association’s Annual Meeting titled: Home Meal Replacements: The Saving Grace for Supermarkets.” His research has been accepted for publication in the “A” journal for Food Marketing (International Journal of Food and Agribusiness Management Review). In addition, he was an adjunct professor at Arizona State University teaching undergraduate Food Marketing classes for two years.
