Biography

Dr. Dan Logan in an Assistant Professor of Psychology who teaches courses in Crisis Intervention, Physiological Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Psychology of Personality. Prior to joining the department as a full-time faculty member in 2009, he had taught courses as an adjunct professor from 1995 to 2000. Dr. Logan earned his B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Counseling from Liberty University. He then received his Ed.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Sarasota. He directed an outpatient mental health clinic and crisis intervention team. He has experience in outpatient, inpatient and residential psychiatric facilities. He provided clinical supervision for professionals working towards a professional counselors license. Some professional accomplishments include organizing, developing and implementing an educational/motivational treatment for family members, significant others and friends of individuals diagnosed with a substance abuse disorder as well as holding the position of Chair of the HIPAA Committee. Dr. Logan and his wife are blessed to have five children. He enjoys woodworking and baseball.
