Dr. Beck joined the faculty of Liberty University in August of 1978. His focus in research and teaching has been in the philosophy of religion and specifically the existence of God and the Cosmological Argument. He has published a number of articles and chapters in this area. His dissertation was on “Schubert Ogden and the Relation between Philosophy and Theology.”
Dr. Beck, during his doctoral work and before coming to Liberty, has taught at the college level at U of Rhode Island, Rhode Island Junior College, Mass State College in Salem and Bridgewater, and Boston University.
Dr. Beck and his wife, Jean, have been married since 1971 and have four daughters, all graduates of Liberty and all married, and 9 grandchildren.
