Attention 2012 Members:
We are excited about the upcoming fall semester, and having you a part of the GREATEST SEASON EVER! The LU Marching Band is gearing up for a fantastic show, entitled “Just The Way You Are” that we unveiled a little more than a week ago.
We are advertising our need for additional tuba and mallet players for this fall. At this date, we have a great compliment of instruments across the ensemble, with the exception of these two sections. For example, at this time the trumpet section numbers 30 members, and the clarinet section 30 members, too! If you would like to perform in the tuba section, we have brand new Yamaha silver tubas, the same bell-front instruments used by many of the top DCI corps!
-
Please let us know right away if you would like to switch from clarinet or trumpet, to the tuba section (yes, we have female tuba players, too!). Even better, if you have a friend that plays tuba that has not yet joined with us, please let me know!
-
If you have a friend that would like to play marimba or vibes in the Front Ensemble, please let us know right away, too. Piano players make great mallet players! We have very fine Musser mallet instruments for these players.
