Travel
The Liberty University Marching Band has performed in the nationally televised Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade before an estimated viewing audience of 90 million. "The Spirit of the Mountain" has also appeared during pre-game and halftime at Giants Stadium in the Meadowlands. This year, The Spirit of the Mountain will perform at all home games and at various away games and marching band competitions. We are also the host of the Central Virginia Regional USSBA Band Competition, held right here on the campus of Liberty University in Williams Stadium!  Be a part of the excitement, join "The Spirit of the Mountain!"

Band Camp
During band camp, the marching band enjoys rehearsing outdoors during the coolest part of the day and indoors during the afternoon hours. Social events occur during the week, such as the annual Hawaiian Luau, and Putt-Putt miniature golf, featuring the yearly "Spirit of the Mountain Grand Prix" go kart race.

Hayfest
The Annual Marching Band Hayfest is an enjoyable event held each year near the end of October. The band selects a camp, farm or lake location that involves a bon fire, food, costume contest, and other activities unique to our band. The Hayfest is a tradition that all members take pleasure in attending.

Band Parents' Day
Band Parents' Day at Liberty University is an invitation to all band members' parents and families. Each year this event is organized to include a dinner, address from the university president, attendance at the home football game, and other fun activities. Many family members agree this is a highlight of the fall semester.

Homecoming
Homecoming Weekend includes activities for band alumni. The band alumni usually enjoy gathering for dinner and meetings, re-acquainting with friends from previous years in band, and being included in the performance at halftime of the football game. Alumni Website.

The Christmas Banquet is the event where important recognitions are delivered, such as the Director's Choice Award, Ann Heichel Spirit Award, and Darin R. Wenger Servant's Heart Award.
