Biographical Information:
Associate Professor of Piano in the Department of Music and Humanities, Taeseong Kim received his Bachelor of Music degree in piano from Liberty University, his Master of Music degree in piano pedagogy from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. He studied piano with Charles Fugo, David Northington, David Ehrman, and Beverly Henkel, and piano pedagogy with Scott Price, Stephen Taylor, and Fay Adams. He joined the Liberty faculty in 2006.
He strongly believes in the value of the classical music as an effective tool for shaping musicians to glorify and serve God. He is a developing artist teacher actively involved in teaching and performance. He serves also as the music director of Korean Baptist Church of Lynchburg.
