Requirements

  • $50 application fee (waived for current Liberty students and alumni, please complete paper application)
  • Official college transcripts
  • Regionally or nationally accredited Bachelor’s degree with at least a 3.0 GPA for admission in good standing
  • Two Letters of Recommendation are required (must be on University letterhead with a signature)
  • Research Paper/Writing Sample (8-10 pages)
  • Written Statement of Purpose  - The Statement of Purpose is a one page paper that discusses your goals for your intended academic program, as well as, an explanation of what you hope to gain from and contribute to the program.
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score report
  • Self-Certification Form (for students in the final term of their bachelor's degree)
  • Prerequisites (should be taken prior to admission): 15 -18 credit hours of 300 - 400 upper-level undergraduate English courses
  • Current Liberty undergraduate applicants must complete Graduation Application.
  • Additional admission requirements for international students
