Biography
Norm Reichenbach teaches ecology, zoology and environmental science to undergraduate students. He research interests range from toxicology to ecology to community development and he has worked on a wide variety of organisms ranging from insects to sea cucumbers to snakes. His current research projects, which typically engage teams of undergraduate students, have an ecological/conservation emphasis and include work on the Peaks of Otter salamander, red-spotted newt, eastern box turtle, timber rattlesnake and Plains garter snake. He is a native of Ohio and received all his degrees from the Ohio State University including a B.S. and M.S. in zoology and a Ph.D. in entomology. He and his wife, Susan, were married in 1990 years and have two children, Faith and Keith.

Research Interests
Dr. Reichenbach is conducting several conservation-related projects including ecological research on the Peaks of Otter Salamander (ecophysiological distributional boundaries for a montane species with an extremely restricted distribution), plains gartersnake (Ohio endangered species population restoration program), timber rattlesnake (identification of critical habitat along the Blue Ridge Parkway), eastern box turtle (assessment of translocated turtle movement patterns and survival rates) and water snakes and queen snakes (urban snake ecology project).
