With a Vision ...to develop fluency through Spanish evangelism.

Touch Lives ...for two months each summer, students touch lives, form friendships, and improve their Spanish while ministering in Guatemala—serving in areas such as the following:

Orphanages

Construction

Homes for the elderly

Medical Clinics

Nutrition Centers

Schools

Church services

Serving the Guatemalan People

 

This is a chance of a life time!

Month 1, Partial Immersion—Primary Elements:

  1. Spanish Instruction
    1. Students will enroll in college-level classes (Spanish 102 or above) that they will take during their first month in Guatemala.
    2. These classes will feature the vocabulary and grammatical structures typically confronted in the Guatemalan culture, with particular training in the Plan of Salvation, personal testimony and other elements directly related to ministry in Spanish-speaking countries.
  2. Ministry such as the following:
    1. Medical clinic
    2. Orphanage
    3. Christian school
    4. Evangelistic programs:
      1. In churches
      2. In schools
      3. In parks and on street corners
      4. In poor villages while also sharing food and medicine
      5. Painting homes in poor villages
      6. Home construction in poor villages
      7. Church building construction

Month 2, Total Immersion—Primary Elements:

  1. Home - stay with family who only speak Spanish
  2. Work and/or ministry designed to aid in fluency

Projected Costs:
Tutition: $1,770

Room & board plus travel to, within, and from Guatemala: $3,650

Total: $5,420
