This my first time commenting on this blog also. I'm glad we have a place for what we will call reflection. Oftentimes, we are so busy getting ahead with life we get a revelation but we tell ourselves well, I'll get to it later. Sadly, most times we don't but finding this place (blog) has helped me to make that STOP! and reflect... I like the verse in John 8:32 where Jesus says, "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." It can become an easy habit of compromising the truth if we are caught in a jam. I pray to God for myself and for all His children that His Holy Spirit brings to our minds this verse every time we are caught in a jam. Amen.

I am new to LU and did not even know this blog existed, but the Lord knows I love it, as I need this uplifting that my fellow brothers and sisters give. I loved your post on truth, I would like to share a couple of my favorite scriptures on truth.
"Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other." Psalm 85:10
In this verse the Psalmist is anticipating the cross. Only in death of Jesus Christ do we find the perfect blend of mercy and truth. We cannot live truth without justice, and we cannot have justice without judgment. The violation of God’s command demands justice and that justice were satisfied by Christ’s death on the cross. Christ’s death allowed God to be merciful toward the sinner without doing violence to His truth.

Well, this is my first time commenting on a blog. Ever. I think that the verses you have listed are the best ones for the truth. It is a shame, that now truth is in the eye of the beholder. If one thinks something is true, we are supposed to accept it. How could that be? How could one be right and wrong at the same time? I have spoken to my kids in elementary school about truth. It is crazy hearing what they have to say concerning it. One great thing about being a Believer and a child of Christ that we know truth. It is everlasting and can and will never change. The truth has been there since before the beginning of time. We just have to see it, and fulfil the Great Commission so we can show others. Forget what people would think of us, but remember that we are not home yet. The scorn and ridicule we could and will get for spreading the word is nothing compared to the joy and praise we will get in Heaven!!!
