For the second-straight season, Liberty earns a spot in an NCAA Regional. For the fourth time in program history, the Flames won 40 or more games in a season in 2014. Three of the seasons have come under current Flames head coach Jim Toman as Liberty also posted 40-plus win season in 2010 and 2012 under the 2014 Big South Coach of the Year.
Liberty claimed the 2014 Big South regular season title with a 23-3 record. The Flames set a program record with their 23 Big South wins. At point during the year, Liberty won 20 consecutive conference games.
Arkansas enters the regional with a 38-23 record. The Razorbacks finished fourth in the SEC Western Division with a 16-14 mark.
Arkansas and Liberty will be meeting for the first time ever on the baseball diamond.
